This policy describes how MedApp handles your information. It is short because the app collects almost nothing.
We do not collect any personal data. MedApp does not require an account, does not ask for your email, and does not send your information to any server.
The medication names, doses, schedules, dose history, photos, and custom medicine names you enter are stored only on your device. They never leave the device.
Everything you enter — people, medicines, dose times, sleep hours, dose history, and pill photos — is stored locally using SwiftData and UserDefaults. It is not uploaded, synced, or shared with us or any third party. Your data never leaves your device.
If you choose to add a photo of a medicine bottle or packaging, the photo is stored on your device only. The app uses Apple's PHPicker, which means the app cannot access your full photo library — you select individual photos and the app receives only what you choose. Photos are never uploaded to any server.
The app uses iOS local notifications to remind you to take doses. The notification content (medicine name and dose) is generated on your device and delivered by iOS. We do not send push notifications from a server.
MedApp can display your next dose on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island using Apple's ActivityKit. This information is generated on your device and is not sent to any server. The Live Activity is visible only on your device.
The app includes a built-in list of common medicine names to help you type faster. If you type a name that is not in the built-in list, it is saved on your device so it appears in autocomplete next time. This list is stored in UserDefaults and never leaves your device. The app also uses fuzzy matching to suggest close matches for misspelled names — this comparison happens entirely on your device.
MedApp does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking. We do not track how you use the app. No data is collected about your usage.
If you purchase a Premium subscription, Apple handles the transaction entirely. Apple's privacy policy applies to that process. We do not receive your payment details. Your purchase status is managed by Apple's StoreKit and stored on your device.
You can delete all your data at any time by deleting the app or by removing individual people in Settings. Deleting the app removes everything immediately — all medicines, dose history, photos, and custom names.
MedApp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has entered data into the app, delete the app to remove it.
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date will change. The current version is always available in the app under Settings → Legal and online at this page.
